7.21.18 – The Daily HeraldPhoto of Everett Police Department - Everett, WA, United States

Last week I was moving heavy bags of bark in my backyard. I usually garden with headphones on and was completely unaware that my home alarm had been triggered. Out of nowhere, I noticed an Everett Police officer at my back fence trying to get my attention. I had accidently hit the panic button on my home alarm fob in my front pants pocket.

Although this was a false alarm, I am comforted to know that the Everett Police are always ready to serve and protect in my community. In the future, I won’t carry the fob in my pocket while doing heavy work and I’ll turn down the smooth jazz.

Thank you Everett Police. You are appreciated!
