Several school districts in the Kansas City metro are investigating into online threats of violence.

KMBC-TV is reporting that at least six districts in Missouri and Kansas have confirmed that they are working with law enforcement to determine the credibility of violent threats made against various high schools and middle schools. The threats come less than a week after a deadly shooting at Apalachee High School in Georgia.

The Grain Valley, Grandview, Independence, Lee’s Summit, Raytown and Kansas City, Kansas, school districts have all confirmed to KMBC that they are investigating the threats. It is unknown if any of these threats are connected.

The exact nature of the threats made against most of the school districts has yet to be detailed by law enforcement.

Officials with Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools say Eisenhower Middle School will have an increased police presence for the next several days after receiving a bomb threat.

The Blue Springs School District is also working with police after a separate incident over the weekend that ended with one person in custody.

According to a letter sent to parents from Blue Springs High School Principal Tom Alderman, police were made aware of an inappropriate Snapchat story involving a possible threat to the school Sunday.
