Gov. John Bel Edwards announced Monday that the state will move into Phase 2 on Friday — moving to the second step of the White House’s plan for reopening the economy.

Here’s what Phase 2 looks like for Louisiana businesses:

Restaurants

  • Can generally expand to 50% capacity (including employees)
  • Six feet of distancing between parties
  • Masks required for employees interacting with the public

Bars, breweries

  • Can expand to 50% capacity (including employees), if they have a Louisiana Department of Health food license
  • Can open to 25% capacity if they do not have a food license
  • Six feet of distancing between parties
  • Masks required for employees interacting with the public

Churches

  • Can generally expand to 50% capacity (including employees)
  • Six feet of distancing between parties
  • Masks required for employees interacting with the public

Casinos

  • Can generally expand to 50% capacity (including employees)
  • Can have 75% of gaming stations operating
  • Six feet of distancing between parties

  • Can generally expand to 50% capacity (including employees)
  • Six feet of distancing between parties
  • Masks required for employees interacting with the public

Gyms

  • Can generally expand to 50% capacity (including employees)
  • Six feet of distancing between parties
  • Masks required for employees interacting with the public
