Business owners and operators in Kansas may find it easier to file their paperwork with the state electronically.

The Secretary of State Office says they have migrated to a new system to replace the 38-year-old IMB AS/400 architecture that the state had been using for decades.

“This new software offers Kansans a reliable and secure platform designed to simplify their interaction with the state,” said Kansas Secretary of State Scott Schwab. “I’m pleased to provide a newer and better service for Kansas businesses.”

The agency says the new system has a more intuitive interface with faster response times, allows for immediate website updates, and new features, and also provides more security for businesses filing their reports online.
