After allegedly breaking into a garage and getting stuck, the burglar texted 911 for help.

Jessica Shomo, 42, was arrested after Clearfield Regional Police were called to a row of garages on E. 8th Street at around 2:19 a.m. Oct. 18.

According to the criminal complaint, police were dispatched after 911 received multiple texts for help from Shomo. One text said she was behind the “casinos,” which police noted was a common term for the skills games at N&T Vape & Convenience Store.

Upon arrival, police said there was a row of garages, and a light was seen shining in the fifth garage. When the door opened, they found Shomo with four bags. According to the complaint, Shomo was making random statements that had nothing to do with the situation at hand, including telling police she needed to be tested for Anthrax. She alleged she only stopped in the garage to rest for a bit and then couldn’t get out.

Shomo allegedly had a small container with methamphetamine on her along with a blue straw with white residue and numerous lighters. It was noted in the charges that officers were familiar with Shomo over previous drug-related incidents.

Shomo was charged with criminal trespass, loitering and prowling at nighttime and possession. She was placed in Clearfield County Prison with bail set at $5,000.
