Charlotte County wants to improve accuracy and speed when it comes to emergency responses.

The County decided to implement the Automated Secure Alarm Protocol.

The ASAP program allows alarm companies to send alarm call information via a computer system rather than relaying information by telephone.

Some highlights to the program are fewer phone calls to emergency response units, quicker processing times, and greater accuracy of the information transmitted.

Alarm company representatives can obtain more information on how to become an ASAP partner by contacting the E911 Office at the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office (941-575-5339).
