| Dear HGCAA Membership and Friends, As you know we provided an alert a few weeks ago that the City of Houston was being pressured by Electricians to pass a city ordinance that would require a permit to be pulled by a Master Electrician for network cable projects using Power Over Ethernet (POE). We have received word this issue will be going to the council next Tuesday (public testimony) and for a vote on Wednesday, November 17. Please call and email your Council Member and the Council Members at Large today! If you don’t have a physical presence in Houston you can still contact the Council Members at large. We need a tsunami of communications to get a landslide defeat of this ordinance. PLEASE don’t think that our HGCAA letter was enough, this could come down one Council Members vote and could be your email or voice that made the difference! I have also attached contact information for each councilmember and their mailing address. In addition there is a very good example letter that you can use as it is or use as a template.
