1.26.25 – KMMO – Carrollton, MO

The Town of Carrollton is in the early stages of considering an ordinance addressing the recent spate of false alarm calls in the city.

Mayor Susie Bliss says the issue was discussed at last week’s town council meeting.

Bliss says discussions on the issue and a potential remedy are preliminary. She says the town will have to consider how many false alarms would result in Carrollton taking action.

Mayor Bliss adds that the police department will provide more detailed numbers, including the age and type of alarm systems generating the most false alarms, at the next Carrollton Town Council meeting scheduled for Feb. 3.
