Bernardsville – Owners of alarm systems that directly alert police upon activation would be required to register them with the borough under an ordinance now under consideration.
Proposed revisions to an existing police ordinance on burglar and fire alarm systems for homes and commercial buildings were discussed in depth by Police Chief Kevin Valentine at a Borough Council meeting on Monday, March 8. After some fine tuning, it is expected to be introduced by the governing body at its next meeting on Monday, March 22.
