PLEASANTON, Calif. — The latest FBI data on burglary rates “reveals significant variations in home security across the United States,” according to a new analysis by Deep Sentinel Home Security.

New Mexico leads the nation with the highest home burglary rate, while Maine boasts the lowest, based on the most recent rankings. These findings “underscore the importance of investing in home security, particularly in regions with elevated crime rates,” according to the Deep Sentinel announcement.

New Mexico – 604 per 100,000

Washington – 563 per 100,000

Louisiana – 497.8 per 100,00

Oklahoma – 482.6 per 100,000

Arkansas – 466.4 per 100,000

Nevada – 436.1 per 100,000
