Gusano’s Chicago-Style Pizzeria recently shared security footage on their Facebook page, capturing a break-in they’ve humorously dubbed the work of a “Ninja Burglar.”

Co-owner John Hunter explained how the discovery came about. “We went back to look at the security camera to see what happened and to gather information for the police department. We found someone crawling through the building, rolling around. It looked like something off ‘Mission Impossible.'”

The burglar managed to steal some money from a cash box but wasted significant time on an empty safe. “One of the things that’s funny is, we had a safe in our office that stopped operating and was just sitting there. He spent 45 minutes breaking into the safe just to find it was empty,” Hunter said.

In light of the unusual burglary, Hunter and his team decided to add a touch of humor to the situation. They edited the security footage and set it to the iconic “Pink Panther” theme song. “It’s really unfortunate that someone would do that, break into a business. But we at least got to laugh about some of the content our video cameras caught,” Hunter shared. “Our team had a little fun with adding some music and putting together an edit of this guy rolling around, trying to dodge or avoid cameras or sensors or something.”

The Duquesne Police Department confirmed there is an open investigation and encourages anyone with information to contact them. Hunter concluded, “We’re in good shape, and we can all just kind of laugh at this. Hopefully, they catch the guy. If you are in a parkour class and see anybody with those same moves, notify the Duquesne Police Department.”
