Texas topped nation in 2019 job growth

Texas led the nation in 2019 in job creation, even as the state unemployment rate ticked up slightly to 3.5 percent in December, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Friday. The state unemployment rate, 3.5 percent, was in line with the national rate.
