  • CT: Kitchen fire ignites when stove is accidentally turned on
    1.9.23 – Westport Journal – Westport – A kitchen fire erupted Monday when a stove’s burner, which was accidentally turned on, ignited items stored on top, according to fire officials. Firefighters were alerted about 12:30 p.m. Monday to a problem in the home at 22 Berndale Drive after smoke-detector activation was reported by an alarm company.
  • OR: Cat Killed In La Pine House Fire – Bend
    1.13.23 – KBND – Crews were called just after 4:15 a.m. by the homeowner who reported being awoken by smoke alarms. He tried unsuccessfully to put the fire out on his own. He evacuated with his dog, but La Pine Fire officials say a cat was lost in the blaze.
